Konjac Sponge

A couple of months ago I got an email from Sephora about Boscia's Konjac (pronounced cognac, like the liquor) sponge.  It's supposed to be a gentle yet effective way to exfoliate your face. It's made of vegetable fibers from the konjac plant, and it's supposed to balance the pH level on your skin. I went to the web site and saw that it was $18! On top of that you're supposed to replace it every 2-3 months.  I really wanted to try it but did not want to pay the price for it so I started the hunt for an alternative.  I finally found Missha's Natural Soft Jelly Cleansing Puff. It's a product made in Korea so I ended up buying it on eBay for $5 each.

It comes pre-moistened so it stays soft in the package.  Don't be surprised by it.  Missha offers two kinds: white clay  for sensitive/normal skin and charcoal for acne prone skin.

I absolutely love this thing.  It feels so good on my skin and leaves it so soft. I don't use it every day although you could because it's so gentle.  I use it every other day.  First,  I wash my face with my cleanser. Then I take the sponge and massage it on my face in circular
motions for about a minute.  To wash it,  I run it under water and squeeze to get the remaining cleanser out.  You have to let it air dry in between uses by hanging it on the threaded loop attached to it.  Once it dries,  it shrinks and becomes pretty hard.

See the difference?

I highly recommend this sponge.  I plan on getting it for my girlfriends for Christmas because I want them to experience the soft skin I have now.  Go get yourself one!
